Unrooted Counseling is in network with many major insurance companies, including:

  • Optum umbrella (Medica, UMR, UHC)

  • BCBS

  • Health Partners

  • Cigna/Evernorth

  • MHCP

  • Aetna/FirstHealth

  • UCare

Every plan is different; it is a client’s responsibility to check their specific plan to determine benefits (including possible deductible or copay) & any service limitations they may have prior to the initial appointment.

Payment

Private Pay

Private pay is an option for individual therapy and may be required for couples therapy, depending on your provider. Each provider sets their own rates, which can be viewed on their ‘about me’ page under ‘The Unrooted Team’.

Regardless of the utilization of insurance or private pay, all payment is due at the time of invoice reciept.

Unrooted Counseling has moved!

Effective November, 2025, we are located at 333 Washington Ave N Suite 406 Minneapolis MN 55401. We’ll still be located in the North Loop; same neighborhood, just a few blocks south in the Union Plaza Building.

Parking Options: 

o   The building does have a paid hourly surface lot available for clients to park in ($3/hour, paid at the box next to the T3 building, where Dario is located). Please note, they are pretty strict about the timing of hourly parking, so if you’re concerned about going over the hour, please pay for 2 hours to avoid a parking ticket. There is also paid parking behind the T3 building, next to the North Loop Green that you can pay for on your phone.

o   Minneapolis metered parking is located throughout the neighborhood

o   Ramp C (ABC Parking) is also a short distance from the building if you’d prefer to park in a ramp
